Over 730 students currently enrolled in the Hayward Unified School District (HUSD) are seeking asylum in the United States. Approximately 200 are pursuing their cases without a parent present to help them. None of us can solve this humanitarian crisis alone, but each of us can do something to relieve the suffering of youth in our local schools. Find out how, Sunday, Nov 10, 2-5:30 pm, in Oliver Hall. This event is co-sponsored by Eden UCC, the Eden Area Interfaith Council, and the South Alameda County Unaccompanied Immigrant Youth & Children in Migrant Families Collaborative. The training will end with a meal, which can be enjoyed on or off campus. The registration cost is underwritten by a grant from the San Francisco Foundation.
